Disney Branded Television and National Geographic are undergoing a restructuring as Pam Levine, the head of marketing, is stepping down from her role. Levine, who reported directly to Disney Entertainment Television president of marketing Shannon Ryan, was responsible for overseeing notable campaigns such as “Percy Jackson & the Olympians” and the “Descendants” franchise for Disney Branded Television, as well as “Sugarcane” and “David Blaine: Do Not Attempt” for National Geographic.

Ryan announced Levine’s departure to staff and revealed that her responsibilities will now be divided among his top lieutenants. Erin Weir will take on Disney Branded Television marketing, Joe Ortiz will handle National Geographic marketing, and Candice Ashton will oversee publicity for both National Geographic and Disney Branded Television, in addition to her current responsibilities. Aaron Goldman is already overseeing marketing creative and operations for various Disney properties.

Levine, a former marketing executive at 20th Century Fox and HBO, joined Disney in June 2022. She took over the role from Jayanta Jenkins, who left after a short tenure. The restructuring under Ryan’s leadership is the latest in a series of changes at Disney’s TV arm, which has seen leadership shuffles and layoffs in recent years.

This realignment reflects Disney’s ongoing efforts to streamline and optimize its operations in the ever-evolving entertainment industry. The company remains committed to delivering high-quality content to audiences worldwide, and this restructuring is aimed at ensuring the continued success of Disney Branded Television and National Geographic.
