Warner Bros. Discovery president and CEO David Zaslav saw a 4% increase in his pay package in 2024, bringing his total compensation to $51.9 million, as reported in the company’s 2025 proxy statement filed on Friday.

This increase follows a rise in Zaslav’s pay package in 2023, which was worth $49.7 million, marking a 26.5% increase from the previous year. In 2022, Zaslav received $39.3 million in compensation, a significant decrease from the staggering $246.6 million he earned in 2021, which included $203 million in stock-option grants.

In 2024, Zaslav’s base salary was $3 million, with stock awards worth $23.1 million, non-equity incentive plan compensation of $23.9 million, and additional compensation totaling $1.9 million.

The proxy statement also disclosed the compensation for other members of WBD’s C-suite. CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels received $17 million, chief revenue and strategy officer Bruce Campbell earned $19.8 million, global streaming and games CEO and president J.B. Perrette received $19.7 million, and international president Gerhard Zeiler earned $14.8 million.

According to the 2025 proxy statement, the Compensation Committee reviewed Zaslav’s and Wiedenfels’ achievement of their strategic goals. Both executives were found to have exceeded expectations and over-delivered on their respective goals. As a result, Zaslav’s cash bonus based on strategic metrics was approved at 115% of target, while Wiedenfels’ cash bonus was approved at 114% of target.

This latest disclosure sheds light on the compensation practices within Warner Bros. Discovery and highlights the company’s commitment to rewarding executive performance. As Zaslav continues to lead the company through its merger and growth initiatives, his compensation reflects the value he brings to the organization.
