Renowned journalist Kimu Elolia, a native of Johnson City, Tenn., will lead the production of the series, with Christy Gressman and Christine Connor serving as executive producers for Topic Studios.
Elolia, in collaboration with Johnson City journalist Jeff Keeling, has been closely following the story since local rumors first surfaced in 2018, long before it garnered national attention. “200 East Main” will offer a unique perspective on the events, emphasizing a “trauma-informed and community-first” approach. The project will include interviews with key victims of Williams, many of whom are actively involved in legal actions against the Johnson City Police Department. By combining visual and audio mediums, Topic Studios aims to present this important narrative in the most comprehensive manner possible.
