Youths tracked down in Dunedin after burglaries in Gore

Youths tracked down in Dunedin after burglaries in Gore

A group of young individuals believed to be connected to a series of burglaries that have been causing frustration in Gore were apprehended in Dunedin, according to the police.

Reports of burglaries in the Main St area of Gore were received by the police between 5pm on Monday, April 7 and 8am on Tuesday, April 8.

Following investigations, the police were able to locate and arrest seven youths, some of whom were found in Dunedin.

“The seven individuals have been interviewed by the police and have been referred to Youth Services.

“We acknowledge that this behavior is extremely frustrating for the public, and we are committed to holding those responsible accountable.”

The police are encouraging anyone who witnessed any suspicious or unlawful activities to come forward with any information they can gather safely.
