When authorities arrived at Valdez’s residence, they found him covered in blood, clutching a Bible on the front porch. The scene inside the house was equally horrific, with the lifeless body of his 58-year-old mother, Tersita Sayson, discovered in the blood-spattered master bedroom, alongside a deceased dog.
