By the President of the United States of America
A Proclamation
Every single day, numerous volunteers dedicate their time and energy to enhance the fabric of communities across this great nation with their unyielding commitment to service. As we observe National Volunteer Week, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to every individual who selflessly contributes their skills, time, and resources to make a meaningful difference in the lives of their neighbors, their communities, and the country at large.
Volunteerism is not merely an act of kindness; it is the very essence of what it means to be American, showcasing the spirit that elevates our nation. Whether in soup kitchens, shelters, schools, hospitals, or faith-based organizations, volunteers embody a profound spirit of kindness and compassion, reaching out to those in need. These individuals stand as paragons of civic duty, inspiring us all with their unwavering dedication to serving others.
Throughout National Volunteer Week, we honor every American who invests their time and talents in service to our country. We celebrate their altruistic spirit—the motivating force that drives them to uplift others and commit to a cause larger than themselves. In moments of challenge, the resolve of the American people shines brightest, revealing our collective strength.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby designate April 20 through April 26, 2025, as National Volunteer Week. I urge all Americans to engage in volunteer efforts across the nation and to incorporate service into their daily lives.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this
twenty-third day of April, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-five, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-ninth.
