Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s youngest son, Olin, is proving to be their biggest fan. At the Time100 Summit in New York City, Reynolds, 48, shared that their 2-year-old son is obsessed with the movie that brought his parents together, Green Lantern.
Despite Green Lantern not being the most successful movie in Reynolds’ career, it holds a special place in their household. Reynolds jokingly mentioned that Olin watches the movie every day and seems to be drawn to it.
Reynolds and Lively met on the set of Green Lantern in 2010, although their romantic relationship blossomed after the movie’s release. They tied the knot two years later and now have a total of four children. In addition to Olin, they share three daughters: James, Inez, and Betty.
The couple’s relationship started as friends, as Reynolds revealed during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Following the release of Green Lantern, they were both single and decided to give their relationship a chance.
Last year, Reynolds revealed Olin’s name during the premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine in New York City. The film’s director, Shawn Levy, also disclosed that he is the young boy’s godfather. Levy expressed his joy in having the Reynolds family involved in the movie, with their children making voice cameos.
In Deadpool & Wolverine, Olin appears as Babypool, Inez as Kidpool, and Lively as Lady Deadpool. Betty is even credited as Hugh Jackman’s “wrangler” in the film. Pop superstar Taylor Swift has also played a role in their family dynamic, as she referred to Lively and Reynolds’ children as her “godkids” on Instagram. Reynolds later confirmed that Swift is the godmother to their three daughters.
The Reynolds-Lively family continues to grow stronger, with their children becoming more involved in their professional endeavors. Despite Green Lantern’s initial reception, it has become a cherished part of their family’s movie collection, thanks to young Olin’s enthusiasm for the film.
