Prosecutor Confident in Convicting Defendants Based on Digital Evidence
Prosecutor Walder is confident that the defendants in an ongoing case will be convicted based on the digital evidence presented by the prosecutors. The case is centered around overdose deaths, with a recent push to prosecute those involved in such tragic incidents.
Walder explained the reasoning behind the increased focus on prosecuting overdose deaths, stating: “I think the public has really had it with the sheer volume of fentanyl deaths and drug overdose deaths. The lack of consequences has caused people to put pressure on the government, prompting a shift in focus and priorities towards addressing these issues.”
Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, there have been delays in the case. On Tuesday, a judge granted Sangha’s second request to delay the trial, setting a new trial date of March 4, 2025.
