A man has been charged with stabbing another man multiple times in the Loop on Thursday morning. Jamari Bryant, 26, is set to appear for a detention hearing at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse on Saturday afternoon.

The incident unfolded when a CTA worker at the Clark-Lake train station called 911 after encountering the victim around 7:34 a.m. According to Chicago police, the 37-year-old victim got into an argument with Bryant, who then pulled out a sharp object and proceeded to stab the man in the face, neck, and wrist. The victim was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in fair condition by EMS.

Bryant was found by officers on the L platform and was taken into custody. He also had a cut on his arm, so EMS transported him to Northwestern Memorial Hospital as well.

Prosecutors have charged Bryant with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, and aggravated battery in a public place.

The coverage area has expanded to include Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side areas. The mission of CWBChicago remains unchanged: to deliver accurate and detailed information to the public. For more information, contact news@cwbchicago.com.
