On the latest episode of “The Daily Show,” host Jon Stewart took aim at President Donald Trump for his recent comments about children potentially having to make do with fewer toys in his economy.

Stewart began his monologue by humorously dissecting Trump’s interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press” with Kristen Welker. He highlighted Trump’s attempts to credit himself for the positive aspects of the economy while shifting blame onto Joe Biden for the negative aspects.

During the interview, Trump boldly stated, “I think the good parts are the Trump economy and the bad parts are the Biden economy.” Stewart sarcastically praised Trump for his straightforward approach, likening him to a modern-day Shakespeare.

The comedian then shared a personal anecdote about his niece who loves dolls, joking about buying her a multitude of dolls for her birthday. However, Trump’s suggestion that children can make do with just a few dolls instead of a larger collection left Stewart incredulous.

Despite the potential toy shortage in Trump’s hypothetical economy, Stewart found a silver lining by revealing his niece’s interest in standardized tests. He humorously mentioned plans to gift her a “baby’s first S.A.T. kit,” only for Trump to propose limiting the number of pencils children should have.

Stewart poked fun at Trump’s antiquated views on children’s playthings, remarking on the president’s perceived lack of understanding of modern-day toys. He quipped about the potential uproar if a Democrat had proposed toy rationing, envisioning a scenario where gun-toting patriots would defend their toys with fervor.

The segment concluded with a snippet of the interview and Stewart’s signature wit, highlighting the absurdity of Trump’s remarks on toy rationing. The entire segment encapsulated Stewart’s satirical take on current events and political discourse.
