Reports suggest that Melania Trump has taken a more remote approach to her role as first lady in the early stages of her husband’s second term. According to a recent New York Times article, Melania has been spending less time at the White House, with sources indicating she has only been there for less than 14 days since Donald Trump’s inauguration 108 days ago.
Instead, Melania has been predominantly staying at Trump Tower in Manhattan, New York, or Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida. It has been reported that she is currently working on a documentary about her life, which she has sold to Amazon for a significant sum of $40 million.
During Trump’s first term, Melania delayed her move to the White House to support her son Barron’s schooling in New York. She emphasized her commitment to balancing her roles as a mother, first lady, and wife, stating, “I will be in the White House. And, you know, when I need to be in New York, I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach. But my first priority is, you know, to be a mom, to be a first lady, to be a wife. And once we are in on Jan. 20, you serve the country.”
