“Found” Canceled After Two Seasons on NBC

After two seasons, NBC has decided to cancel the drama series “Found,” as confirmed by Variety. The show originally premiered on NBC in 2023 and featured a talented cast led by Shanola Hampton, along with Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Kelli Williams, Brett Dalton, Gabrielle Walsh, Arlen Escarpeta, and Karan Oberoi.

The series revolves around public relations specialist Gabi Mosely, played by Hampton, who ensures that missing individuals, especially people of color, are not forgotten. However, Gabi harbors a dark secret – she has imprisoned her childhood kidnapper, Sir, portrayed by Gosselaar. When Sir escapes, Gabi’s secret becomes her greatest threat.

Executive producers of the show include Nkechi Okoro Carroll, Sonay Hoffman, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, and Lindsay Dunn. Hampton, in addition to her starring role, also serves as a producer on the series. “Found” is a production of Berlanti Productions and Rock My Soul Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television.

Despite the cancellation, there is hope for “Found” as Warner Bros. Television plans to shop the show to other networks for a potential revival. This decision comes amid a slew of cancellations at NBCUniversal, with other series like “Suits LA,” “The Irrational,” “Night Court,” and “Lopez vs. Lopez” meeting the same fate.

While the news of “Found” being canceled may disappoint fans, the show’s unique premise and talented cast have left a lasting impact on viewers. Deadline was the first to report the cancellation, signaling the end of an era for the beloved series.
