The Untold Story of Muhammad Ali’s Unrecognized Children
The passing of the champ, Muhammad Ali, sparked a frenzy of financial disputes, but hidden within the chaos are his four unrecognized children who may end up with nothing.
One of these children is Osmon, son of Temica Williams, who had a brief relationship with Ali in 1975. Osmon now works as a technical engineer in Illinois. Despite Ali providing them with a luxurious lifestyle in a fancy Chicago apartment for a while, he eventually cut ties with them. Temica sued Ali, alleging that she went from riches to rags. The lawsuit was dropped when she failed to appear in court, leading to a downward spiral that resulted in her giving up Osmon for foster care before her passing in 1998.
Despite their lack of recognition, Osmon, Miya, Khaliah, and another sibling are certain of their paternity. Miya was born from Ali’s affair with Patricia Harvell, while Khaliah’s mother, Wanda Bolton, was only 16 when she became pregnant by Ali. However, after Ali married Veronica Porché, Wanda and her child were left behind.
