Piers Morgan’s Show Takes a Tumultuous Turn with a Simple Inquiry: “What is a Woman?”
The latest episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored featured a lively debate that spiraled into chaos when the host posed a seemingly straightforward question to feminist Clementine Ford: “What is a woman?” The panel included Ford alongside conservative duo Andrew and Rachel Wilson, focusing on the contentious topic of transgender rights.
As the discussion unfolded, Morgan directed a pointed query toward Ford. “It’s a very simple question, but I think it’ll be an interesting question to ask you. What is a woman?” he asked.
Ford, however, sidestepped the inquiry, retorting, “Piers, I’m not going down the path of debating trans women with you.”
“I didn’t mention trans women! I asked you what a woman is!” Morgan shot back, clearly taken aback by Ford’s evasiveness.
Ford attempted to clarify her stance: “OK, I’ll tell you; but I know that — because this is your tactic. This is what you do. ‘What is a woman?’ I’ll tell you what a woman is.”
“It shouldn’t be controversial!” Morgan interjected, seeking to anchor the conversation back to its original query.
Ford elaborated, “A woman is someone who has, at least at one point in her life, felt scared of a man.”
Morgan, evidently puzzled, responded, “Sorry?”
“But you guys never wanna talk about that!” Ford emphasized, shifting the discussion toward her interpretation of female identity.
Andrew Wilson chimed in, echoing Morgan’s confusion: “So, wait, wait. Hang on, hang on. So any man who’s ever felt afraid of another man is a woman? What are you talking about?”
Ford, trying to navigate the conversation, retorted, “No, no, no, no, no, that’s not what I’m saying.”
Wilson pressed further, “You know, this is exactly why — you’re wearing that shirt that says, ‘repeal.’ You should put ‘the 19th’ under it. It’s unbelievable! What are you talking about? ‘A woman is anybody who has ever, at one point, been afraid of a man.’ It’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard! Do you have an actual argument here?”
Ford, feeling interrupted, requested to finish her point, to which Wilson countered, “Yeah, how long is it gonna take for you to finish?”
“Piers, do you really just invite people on your show to be interrupted like this?” Ford asked, clearly frustrated.
Morgan, maintaining his composure, responded, “Well, Clementine, look, with all due respect, we did do a bit of research into what you said about me in the past; so I think I’m entitled to give you–”
Ford interjected, “So you already know what I think about that question because I’ve written about you asking that question!”
Morgan acknowledged, “Yes, you have. In fact, you said–”
Ford cut him off yet again, “So why would you ask it again when you know what my answer to that is?”
Morgan countered, “To enlighten the audience you have no idea what you’re talking about.”
