The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is set to acquire radar technology that has the capability to detect individuals through walls, regardless of whether they are moving, stationary, or lying down. This innovative technology could be instrumental in locating people trapped in disaster areas or tracking down individuals trying to evade law enforcement.

The concept of utilizing radar, a system that uses radio waves to detect objects and determine their precise location, for this purpose has been in development for over two to three decades, according to Hugh Griffiths from University College London. The potential applications of this radar technology are vast and could revolutionize search and rescue operations as well as law enforcement tactics.
