Reggie Bush’s L.A.-area mansion was almost broken into on Tuesday night, according to TMZ Sports. The former Heisman Trophy winner’s quick thinking helped thwart the crime before it could escalate.
The incident occurred around 11 PM in Encino when at least one person smashed a window at Bush’s multi-million-dollar home. Fortunately, Bush was present at the time and his shout scared off the suspect(s) before they could gain entry.
Law enforcement arrived shortly afterward and found broken glass near the rear entry of the house. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the attempted break-in.
It is unclear if anything was stolen during the incident. Bush purchased the property in 2019 for $5.65 million, which reportedly included a robust alarm system and surveillance cameras. The estate is also surrounded by walls and gates for added security.
An investigation into the break-in is ongoing. Bush has not yet commented on the incident.
