Goldberg’s son, Gage Goldberg, has recently hinted at his father’s upcoming retirement match in WWE. The wrestling legend is set to have his final match later this year, marking the end of an iconic career in the ring.

The last time fans saw Goldberg on WWE television was during his intense confrontation with Gunther at Bad Blood 2024. Gage Goldberg was ringside with his father during the event and witnessed the dramatic moment when Goldberg leaped over the barricade before being stopped by security from reaching Gunther, also known as The Ring General.

Taking to Instagram, Gage shared a heartfelt image of himself with his father, expressing his desire to continue Goldberg’s legacy in the wrestling world. In a caption accompanying the photo, Gage wrote, “Continuing the legacy @goldberg95,” hinting at his aspirations to follow in his father’s footsteps.

Goldberg, a former champion in WWE, has been on a hiatus from in-ring action since his defeat to Roman Reigns at WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 in Saudi Arabia. The wrestling veteran was honored with an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018, solidifying his status as a wrestling icon.

In a recent interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Bill Apter, Gage Goldberg opened up about the conversation he had with his father before the showdown with Gunther at Bad Blood. Gage revealed that he encouraged his father to confront Gunther after the former World Heavyweight Champion began trash-talking at the event, sparking a desire in Gage to see his dad take on Gunther in the ring.

As Goldberg prepares for his final wrestling match, he underwent stem cell treatment earlier this year to ensure he is in top form for his retirement bout. Fans are eagerly anticipating the announcement of Goldberg’s opponent for his farewell match, speculating on who will have the honor of facing off against the wrestling legend in his last bout.

With Goldberg’s son, Gage, showing a strong commitment to carrying on his father’s wrestling legacy, the Goldberg family continues to be an integral part of the wrestling community. As the wrestling world eagerly awaits Goldberg’s final match, the legacy of the WCW star is set to live on through the next generation of wrestlers.
