Doha-based beIN Media Group has recently announced a multi-year extension of their partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), securing exclusive content rights for the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey regions.

Under the renewed agreement, beIN will have access to first and second window rights to SPE’s film slate and television series post-theatrical release. This content will be available on beIN’s entertainment channels, beIN On Demand, and streaming platforms TOD and beIN Connect in Arabic and English for the MENA territories. In addition, English and Turkish versions will be accessible through Digiturk’s entertainment channels in Turkey.

The lineup of Sony’s theatrical releases includes highly anticipated films such as “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” “28 Years Later,” “Until Dawn,” and “Karate Kid: Legends.” Recent releases like “Venom: The Last Dance,” “Kraven the Hunter,” “Saturday Night,” “I’m Still Here,” and “Paddington in Peru” are also expected to be featured on beIN’s platforms.

On the television front, viewers can look forward to popular series like “Outlander” (Seasons 1-8), “The Good Doctor” (Seasons 1-7), “Twisted Metal” (Seasons 1-2), as well as anime titles from Crunchyroll such as “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “My Hero Academia” (Seasons 1-2).

Esra Özaral Altop, Chief Entertainment Content Officer at beIN Media Group, expressed pride in extending the partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment, emphasizing the commitment to providing premium entertainment to viewers in the MENA and Turkey regions. Mark Young, Executive VP of Distribution and Networks for EMEA at Sony Pictures Television, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the shared goal of bringing compelling content to audiences in these regions.

The extension of the agreement builds upon the original partnership established in 2021 and reinforces beIN’s position as a leading entertainment distributor in the covered territories. While financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, the collaboration between beIN and Sony is set to continue delivering a diverse range of content to audiences across the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey.
