Lionel Richie Excited About Potential Singalong with King Charles
The “Hello” hitmaker, Lionel Richie, has had a long-standing friendship with King Charles, 76, and even performed at his Coronation concert at Windsor Castle in 2023. When asked about the possibility of joining forces for a memorable singalong, Richie expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “If The King wants to sing ‘Easy like Sunday Morning’ with me, that’s fantastic. It would be a hoot.”
Richie went on to shower praise on the monarch for his dedication to service, as well as his wife, Queen Camilla, 77. He commended King Charles for his willingness to travel extensively, noting, “He is probably going to be the first royal to travel as much as you can imagine. I can see him moving around quite a bit, but is he going to pop into the show and surprise me? You never know.”
Regarding Queen Camilla, Richie shared his admiration for her sense of humor, saying, “Now Camilla, that would be possible. She is a hoot in the kindest of respects. She is so funny, and she has such a good sense of humor. They both do. I love her sense of humor.”
With Richie’s excitement about the potential collaboration with King Charles and his fondness for the royal couple’s personalities, it seems like a musical rendezvous between the two could be a memorable and entertaining event.
