My adventure chasing the breathtaking Aurora took me along the coastline where it shimmered brightly and gracefully danced in the night sky. The spectacle was mesmerizing, visible to the naked eye and truly a sight to behold.
Later on, in Mosgiel, I witnessed the Aurora at its peak once again, putting on a spectacular show that left me in awe.
But the most unforgettable moment was when I saw Starlink’s satellites launching through the middle of the Aurora over the beach, adding an unexpected bonus to an already magical experience.
The coastal photo, captured at Blackhead, Dunedin, showcases the beauty of the Aurora against the dark night sky. In the second photo, you can spot the long light smudge which represents Starlink’s satellites passing through the scene.
The third photo, with the tranquil water in the foreground, was taken at Brighton Beach, Dunedin, offering a serene view of the Aurora’s reflection.
The remaining photos were taken in Mosgiel, with the majestic Saddle Hill standing tall in the background, adding a dramatic touch to the already stunning display.
