Daniel Comeaux recently took over as the new chief of police in Dallas, Texas, bringing a different approach to immigration enforcement compared to his predecessor. In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Comeaux emphasized the importance of following the law and working with federal partners in a respectful manner.

Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson expressed his support for efforts to deport undocumented migrants accused of violent crimes, aligning with Comeaux’s stance on immigration enforcement. The city of Dallas has seen a decrease in crime under Johnson’s leadership, with a strong focus on public safety and community involvement.

Comeaux, who previously served as the special agent in charge of the DEA field office in Houston, is now focused on getting felons off the streets and ensuring the safety of Dallas residents. The city has a robust camera system in place to monitor criminal activity and apprehend offenders.

In a warning to potential criminals, Comeaux made it clear that Dallas is not a city to engage in violence or criminal activities. He emphasized his commitment to protecting the community and upholding the law throughout his law enforcement career.

Reflecting on his decision to transition back to local law enforcement, Comeaux shared a personal experience from his early days as a Houston police officer that motivated him to make a difference in the community. With a strong background in law enforcement and a dedication to public safety, Comeaux is determined to make a positive impact in Dallas.

Overall, the new chief of police in Dallas is focused on collaboration with federal agencies, maintaining public safety, and upholding the law to ensure the well-being of residents in the city.
