Entrepreneur Elon Musk expressed regret for some of his recent comments about US President Donald Trump, acknowledging that they may have been too extreme. The two engaged in a public spat on social media, with Musk criticizing Trump’s tax and spending bill as a “disgusting abomination.”

Following the exchange, Trump declared that their relationship was over, but later stated that he would not object to Musk reaching out and offering good wishes. Musk took to his social media platform X to admit his regret, without specifying which posts he was apologizing for.

In response to Musk’s reflection, Tesla shares saw a 2.44% increase in Frankfurt. Musk also removed certain critical posts about Trump from his social media accounts, including one endorsing the president’s impeachment.

Sources close to Musk suggested that his initial anger towards Trump was subsiding, leading to speculation that he may be inclined to mend their relationship. Despite the conflict, it appears that Musk is open to reconciliation.
