Tito Jackson, the legendary brother of the late Michael Jackson and co-founder of the iconic Jackson 5, has passed away. The news was confirmed by Tito’s three sons – Taj, TJ, and Taryll – who expressed their shock and sadness at the loss of their father. Describing Tito as someone who cared deeply for everyone, they shared their heartfelt tribute on Instagram. The official cause of death has not been disclosed.

Born Toriano Adaryll Jackson to Joe and Katherine Jackson in Gary, Indiana, Tito was an integral part of the Jackson family’s musical legacy. Alongside his brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael, Tito formed the Jackson 5, a group that produced a string of chart-topping hits including “I Want You Back,” “ABC,” and “The Love You Save.” The Jackson 5 released 10 albums under that name and an additional 5 albums as The Jacksons.

In 1997, Tito and his brothers were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in recognition of their immense contribution to the music industry. Tito also pursued a solo career, releasing two albums including “Tito Time” in 2016.

Despite his solo endeavors, Tito remained connected to his musical roots and reunited with his brothers for The Jacksons’ tour in 1984. His passion for music and dedication to his craft were evident throughout his career.

The entertainment world is mourning the loss of Tito Jackson, a talented musician and beloved member of the Jackson family. ET was the first to report Tito’s passing at the age of 70. Rest in peace, Tito, your legacy will live on forever.
