Y Combinator’s Spring 2025 Demo Day was a showcase of the latest innovations in the tech industry, with a heavy emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI). The startups presenting at the event were either developing AI agents or creating tools to support their development.

One noticeable trend was the proliferation of startups offering variations of “Cursor for X” products. Den, for example, is working on a “Cursor for knowledge workers,” while Vessence is focused on creating a “Cursor for lawyers.”

However, AI was not the only focus of the event. Robotics also made a significant impact, indicating a resurgence of interest in the field.

Here are some of the standout startups that captured the attention of investors and attendees:

Anvil:
Anvil specializes in SEO for LLMs, helping brands increase their visibility on AI platforms like ChatGPT and Gemini. By measuring, optimizing, and enhancing their presence on these tools, Anvil aims to help brands reach a wider audience.

Atum Works:
Atum Works is revolutionizing chip design by building 3D chips. By stacking transistors in three dimensions, the company aims to increase processing power and potentially become the next NVIDIA.

Auctor:
Auctor automates enterprise software implementation, with major software vendors like SAP and ServiceNow already expressing interest in the startup’s solution. Auctor’s platform could streamline software integration for businesses and improve efficiency.

Cactus:
Cactus offers an AI copilot for solopreneurs, assisting business owners in managing their workload. The AI bot can handle tasks like answering calls and accepting payments, freeing up time for entrepreneurs to focus on growth opportunities.

Den:
Den provides a Cursor for enterprise knowledge workers, offering AI agents that can replace tools like Slack and Notion. By tailoring software to each company’s specific needs, Den enables employees to collaborate and share information effectively.

LLM Data Company:
LLM Data Company offers tools for evaluating and reinforcing AI learning, helping companies assess the quality of their AI agents. By working with customers like Perplexity, the company aims to address the growing need for quality evaluation in the AI industry.

Scalar Field:
Scalar Field provides an AI-powered Bloomberg terminal, offering more flexibility in manipulating financial data compared to traditional tools. While the AI agents do not “think” for users, they enhance the way financial data is analyzed and managed.

Sygaldry:
Sygaldry accelerates AI training and inference using quantum technology. With founder Chad Rigetti leading the way, the company aims to leverage quantum computing advancements to speed up AI processes and drive innovation in the industry.

Vybe:
