Social Media Reacts to Fatal Shooting of Daone Feazell in Humboldt Park
Social media users are showing little mercy for the 18-year-old man who was shot and killed by a concealed carry holder in Humboldt Park this week.
Authorities believe Daone Feazell carjacked a man and then robbed two women in the minutes before he tried to rob his final victim around 10:48 p.m. Tuesday.
Feazell pulled up on the 36-year-old concealed carry holder as the victim unloaded a vehicle in the 1400 block of North Artesian. CPD reports show the Toyota Corolla he was driving had been carjacked from a man near Fulton and Kilpatrick just 18 minutes earlier.
After Feazell displayed a gun and demanded the CCL holder’s valuables, the victim pulled out a firearm and shot him multiple times in the head and chest, according to CPD documents. Investigators found proceeds inside the carjacked Toyota that had been taken at gunpoint from two women in the 2500 block of West Haddon just before Feazell’s ill-fated hat-trick attempt.
“Smh yall don’t show yall kids no guidance,” reacted one Facebook user.
“God pleaseeee give these young boys a change of heart 😩 idk what’s going on with the entire generation but they need a deep cleanse REAL BAD 🤦🏻♀️💯,” said another.
But some people were more direct. Like Facebook user Poetic Pisces: “These young grasshoppers are get more stupid and colder, which os why mant don’t live to experience life mature and older.”
“Outstanding, nice shooting!” raved Richard Riehle.
“To be 18 carrying on like this it’s just sad! We gotta do better as parents,” wrote Kandi Notplayingaboutme Davis.
“No more problem,” concluded Gerardo Reyes.
“Glory to God he was stopped by God. And the angels prepared the victim and protected the other victims,” GiGi Sunflowers reflected.
“This is yall sign, GET YALLS L’s!!!!! (License to carry),” advised Maritza Alexis. “It’s gonna be a bloody summer! 🤡🤣”
And, in a thought apparently shared by many online, X user Downtown Scott Brown tweeted, “Problem solved.”
In a notable twist, Feazell’s own Facebook user name appears to offer his outlook on life: “DaOne NoRemorse.”
