The talented actress Erin Moriarty, best known for her role in “The Boys,” recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with Graves’ disease. In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Moriarty emphasized the importance of recognizing the symptoms of autoimmune diseases and seeking timely treatment.

Graves’ disease affects the thyroid gland, leading to an overproduction of thyroid hormones. Symptoms can range from irritability and mood swings to rapid weight loss and fatigue. While the condition is more common in women over the age of 30, it can affect individuals differently.

Fortunately, Moriarty has already seen improvements since starting treatment a month ago. She urged her followers not to ignore any signs of health issues and to prioritize their well-being. Sharing her personal struggles with the disease, Moriarty posted text messages that highlighted the severity of her symptoms and the relief she felt after beginning treatment.

Despite the challenges she faced, Moriarty expressed gratitude for the support she received from her colleagues in the entertainment industry. Co-stars like Susan Heyward and Nesta Cooper sent their love and encouragement, while “The Boys” director Shana Stein expressed her happiness at Moriarty’s progress.

Moriarty’s acting career has been marked by standout performances in projects like “Captain Fantastic,” “Jessica Jones,” and “Driven.” Her role as Annie January (Starlight) in “The Boys” has garnered her critical acclaim and a loyal fan following. Fans can look forward to seeing Moriarty reprise her role in the upcoming fifth and final season of the hit Prime Video series.

As she continues her journey towards healing and recovery, Moriarty’s openness about her health struggles serves as a reminder of the importance of self-care and seeking medical attention when needed. Her resilience and determination in the face of adversity are truly inspiring, and her fans are undoubtedly cheering her on every step of the way.
