The disruptive passenger on a Southwest Airlines flight, who aggressively grabbed a woman’s hair and spat in her face, has been identified as Leanna Perry, a New York City-based artist. Perry, a 32-year-old illustrator, has a professional background working for prestigious brands such as Maybelline, Steve Madden, and Adidas, as stated on her online profile.
Video footage captured Perry’s tumultuous behavior as she verbally attacked fellow passengers and threw a violent tantrum while being removed from the plane at LaGuardia Airport. Witnesses described her actions as “possessed,” leading to her eventual arrest on assault charges.
Further investigation into Perry’s social media and website revealed her extensive work as an artist and designer for renowned brands like Maybelline, Adidas, MAC, Steve Madden, Hot Topic, and Shein. She recently joined Maybelline as a leading designer.

Perry’s resume also includes collaborations with fashion icons Betsey Johnson and Nicole Miller. However, her recent behavior on the Southwest flight, where she was reportedly intoxicated, has overshadowed her professional achievements.
During the incident, Perry verbally abused a female passenger, forcibly grabbing her hair and spitting on her. Despite pleas from passengers and crew, Perry refused to release her grip on the woman’s hair, resulting in her hands being zip-tied behind her back by airline staff.
She’s lucky I’m not the one she grabbed…it would have taken the whole plane to stop me. You spit on me…that means war.
