In a recent showroom appointment, Alessandro Dell’Acqua discussed the current state of the world, noting that we are living in a time of complexity and confusion. Despite the contradictory messages bombarding us from all directions, Dell’Acqua expressed a desire to find clarity through simplicity in his latest collection.

The collection centered around the everyday, bordering on the basic, but with a touch of nonconformity that is characteristic of Dell’Acqua’s work. For the spring season, he envisioned a young man who approaches fashion with spontaneity, building his wardrobe intuitively without being weighed down by imposed narratives or overthinking symbolism. This man dresses according to what feels right to him, unburdened by unnecessary meanings.

The pieces in the collection exuded an effortless and natural feel, as if they were meant to be worn by the individual. Lightweight knitwear with a soft, terry cloth-like texture provided comfort while maintaining a sense of style. Bouclé, a less conventional choice for menswear, was used in a baby blue zip-up bomber jacket, adding a touch of softness to a typically rugged garment. Anoraks and bombers were crafted from crisp poplin, matching the shirts and shorts to create cohesive three-piece ensembles that blurred the line between casual and sophisticated dressing. Additionally, tailored trousers made of fresco di lana featured a playful detail with boxer shorts peeking out from the waistband, adding a hint of irreverence to a classic design.

Overall, Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s collection for spring embodied a sense of grounded normality, combined with a touch of imagination and nonconformity. The pieces were designed for the modern man who values comfort, style, and authenticity in his wardrobe choices.
