Chicago police have released surveillance images of a vehicle connected to a tragic hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of Brendan Siddall, a 26-year-old member of the Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning in Lakeview, where Siddall was struck and killed on the northbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive near Addison, as reported by Chicago police and Siddall’s friends.

The hit-and-run vehicle has been identified as a white 2019 Honda Accord with license plate FH49505. The driver fled the scene without stopping, leaving Siddall, who resided in the 4200 block of North Sheridan, fatally injured. Despite the straightforward task of determining the vehicle’s owner, detectives face the challenge of proving the identity of the driver at the time of the collision in order to press charges.

Chicago Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Unit is leading the investigation and can be contacted at 312-745-4521 with reference to case number JJ302688. Siddall’s fellow chorus members have been devastated by the loss, remembering him as an integral part of the group and a remarkable individual.

Reggie Owens expressed their admiration for Siddall’s authentic self, passion, dedication, and infectious spirit, stating, “Brendan, we love you. We will miss you dearly.” Similarly, Chris Paulus highlighted Siddall’s bright light, incredible performances, leadership as the Membership Council President, kindness, authenticity, and the joy of being in his presence.

This tragic incident has deeply impacted the community, with Siddall’s presence and contributions being sorely missed. The Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus and its members are mourning the loss of a cherished friend and colleague. The investigation into the hit-and-run continues as authorities seek justice for Brendan Siddall.
