Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, the hip-hop mogul, was denied bail for the second time by a judge, citing concerns about tampering with witnesses. The ruling came after a $50 million bail package was proposed, allowing Combs to be under strict home detention with GPS monitoring.

Combs, 54, pleaded not guilty to charges accusing him of coercing and abusing women for years. The indictment also mentioned his involvement in organizing sexual performances known as “Freak Offs.” Despite arguments from his defense team, prosecutors emphasized Combs’ history of intimidation and violence towards accusers and witnesses.

Combs has been in federal custody since his arrest, with his attorney pushing for bail under conditions that would allow him to stay at his Florida mansion on Star Island. The request echoed similar cases of wealthy defendants seeking home detention in luxurious surroundings.

Prosecutors painted a larger scope of Combs’ alleged crimes, linking them to his business and cultural power. They vowed to present evidence such as financial records, electronic communications, and videos of the “Freak Offs” to support their case.

Authorities raided Combs’ homes earlier this year, seizing narcotics, videos, and firearms, leading to the current charges. A conviction on all counts in the indictment could result in a mandatory 15 years in prison.

The story has been updated to correct the spelling of Cassie’s legal first name.
