Charles Kelley, one-third of the popular country music trio Lady A, recently shared some exciting news for fans eagerly awaiting new music from the group. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Kelley revealed that while Lady A has been taking some time off to focus on family and enjoy a musical reset, they are confident that new music will be coming soon.

After celebrating 15 years since the release of their breakout album “Need You Now” in January, Lady A released their last album titled “What a Song Can Do” in 2021. Kelley hinted at the band’s desire to come back with something special and unique, taking the time to find a sound that resonates with where they are in their lives. He emphasized that they don’t want to rush the creative process and are willing to wait until they feel inspired to create something truly remarkable.

Despite the hiatus, Kelley reassured fans that Lady A will continue to perform live, giving them the opportunity to hear all the songs they have fallen in love with over the years. Looking ahead, Kelley envisions fans coming to listen to new music that is truly special and unique to the band.

While Lady A takes their time to work on new material, Kelley is gearing up to release his solo album titled “Songs for a New Moon.” The album is inspired by ’80s pop music, with influences from artists like Phil Collins, Bryan Adams, Toto, and Michael McDonald. Kelley expressed his excitement about the project, noting that they wanted to capture the sounds and feels of that era of music.

As fans eagerly anticipate new music from Lady A, Kelley emphasized the importance of taking their time to create something truly special. He drew inspiration from artists like Adele, who build anticipation by making fans wait for new music before delivering a groundbreaking album. Kelley hopes to follow a similar approach with Lady A’s next album, focusing on creating an exceptional record that will exceed fans’ expectations.

In the meantime, fans can look forward to enjoying Kelley’s solo album and the nostalgic ’80s pop-inspired sound it promises to deliver. With Lady A’s future music plans in the works, fans can rest assured that the band is taking the necessary time to craft a masterpiece that will leave a lasting impression on their audience.
