Chelsea are considering sending Mykhaylo Mudryk out on loan in the upcoming January transfer window, according to reports. The Ukrainian winger, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Shakhtar Donetsk for a hefty fee of €100 million in January 2024, has struggled to meet expectations with just seven goals and five assists in 62 appearances.

Despite a slow start, Mudryk showed some promising signs under Mauricio Pochettino last season. However, with fierce competition in the winger position at Chelsea, the 23-year-old could see his playing time diminish if his form does not improve. As a result, his representatives are working on finding a solution to secure regular playing time for him.

Journalist Simon Phillips, via Chelsea FC Latest News, has reported that Chelsea are open to the idea of sending Mudryk out on loan in January. However, a permanent sale seems unlikely as his current contract runs until 2031. The final decision will depend on his performances in the upcoming games under Enzo Maresca.

In another transfer-related news, Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana has revealed that he received a transfer offer from Olympique Marseille in the summer. Despite being a Marseille supporter, Fofana ultimately decided to stay at Stamford Bridge. The Frenchman, who joined Chelsea from Leicester City in 2022 for €80 million, has struggled with injuries but has started all three Premier League games this season.

Fofana admitted that he considered the offer from Marseille, especially given his emotional connection to the club. However, his current focus is on succeeding at Chelsea and establishing himself in the team. He did not rule out a potential move to Marseille in the future, stating that the club holds a special place in his heart.

Overall, Chelsea’s willingness to loan out Mudryk and Fofana’s revelation about Marseille’s offer add intriguing layers to the club’s transfer plans. With the January window approaching, it will be interesting to see how these potential moves unfold and impact Chelsea’s squad dynamics.
