Six months ago, the Eaton and Pacific Palisades wildfires in Los Angeles caused widespread devastation, destroying over 16,000 homes and displacing more than 100,000 residents. The aftermath of these historic fires has been a challenging time for many Angelenos as they try to rebuild their lives and homes.

Among those affected is Maeve Reilly, a renowned celebrity stylist who lost her home and belongings in the Pacific Palisades fire. After months of living in limbo, Maeve and her husband Zach Quittman have finally closed on a new house. “We’re so excited for this new chapter,” says Maeve. “It’s taken us this long to emotionally be able to move forward into a new house. That’s been the hardest part of living in limbo, because I’m a homebody—home means a lot.”

As Maeve works on re-establishing her roots and getting back into her busy styling work, she has found a new perspective on fashion. Starting from scratch has led her to focus on creating a capsule wardrobe with classic and timeless pieces that can be mixed and matched. “I’ve realized that you need a lot less than you think. Less is more,” she explains. Comfort is now a priority for Maeve, who values practicality over trends. “I cannot stand fussy clothes or things that feel too trendy. Now, I’m always like, do I really need that?”

In a recent Instagram post, Maeve shared a photo of herself looking chic and confident, embodying her new approach to fashion. The image reflects her personal style and showcases her resilience in the face of adversity. As Maeve continues to rebuild her wardrobe and her life, she serves as an inspiration to many who are navigating their own paths to recovery after the wildfires.
