Kevin Costner Faces Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Over Unscripted Rape Scene in Film

Kevin Costner, known for his roles in popular movies like Dances with Wolves and The Bodyguard, is currently facing a sexual harassment lawsuit related to his recent film, Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2. The lawsuit was filed by female stunt double, Devyn LaBella, who was hired to double for lead actress Ella Hunt.

LaBella alleges that she was subjected to an unexpected and unscripted rape scene while on set in 2023. According to the lawsuit, Costner added a scene involving a second actor, Roger Ivens, who was directed to climb on top of Ms. Hunt, violently pulling up her skirt.

LaBella claims that the scene was not part of the original script and was added without her consent or proper notice. Hunt reportedly walked off set after refusing to film the scene, leaving LaBella to stand in for her without the necessary preparation or safeguards in place.

The lawsuit further alleges that the added scene was not listed on the call sheet for the day, and LaBella never gave her consent to participate in such a scene. The incident has sparked outrage within the industry and raised concerns about the treatment of stunt actors on set.

Costner’s representatives have not yet responded to the allegations, but the lawsuit has brought attention to the issue of sexual harassment and misconduct in Hollywood.
