A Georgia Murderer Spits at Prosecution Team After Receiving Three Life Sentences

A shocking incident occurred in a DeKalb County courtroom when Taco Nash, convicted of fatally shooting his daughter’s mother, spat at the prosecution team after receiving three life sentences. The 25-year-old Nash was found guilty of the 2022 shooting death of Mi’ckeya Montgomery, who was holding their child at the time of the tragic incident.

According to WSBTV, Nash’s outburst occurred just moments after the guilty verdict was delivered. Montgomery’s aunt, Jasmine Walters, described Nash as a sociopath and revealed that the courtroom incident exposed his true nature.

Following the verdict, Nash was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, along with two additional life sentences and 60 years to serve for the murder of Montgomery. Her family expressed satisfaction with the outcome, stating that Nash is where he belongs.

Prosecutors revealed that Nash had a violent history with Montgomery and had been prohibited by a court order from contacting her. Despite this, Nash repeatedly tried to reach Montgomery on the day of the shooting, leading to the fatal incident behind their child’s daycare.

Montgomery’s tragic death unfolded as Nash confronted her and their daughter outside the daycare, ultimately leading to a violent confrontation. The harrowing incident ended with Montgomery being shot in the head, with officials determining that the gunshot was not self-inflicted.

Despite Nash’s attempt to claim Montgomery had shot herself, the evidence pointed to homicide. The young mother tragically lost her life while holding her daughter, who fortunately escaped physical harm during the ordeal.

Nash faced a jury trial in 2025 and was convicted on multiple charges related to the shooting, including Malice Murder, Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping, and Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a felony. DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Brian Lake handed down a significant sentence following the guilty verdicts.
