Craig Robinson’s retirement from comedy may not be as it seems. Recent reports suggesting his departure from the comedy scene are now believed to be part of a new brand marketing campaign, possibly for a division of AT&T. Teaser billboards in Los Angeles have been popping up with the message, “Craig Robinson is Quitting Comedy,” sparking curiosity among fans and industry insiders.

The billboards, designed in AT&T-style blue, hint at a connection to the telecommunications company. Robinson has previously appeared in AT&T commercials, playfully dubbing himself the company’s “Chief Technology Officer” in one ad alongside his former “The Office” co-star Brian Baumgartner. Another spot featured Robinson, Baumgartner, and other “The Office” alumni, further fueling speculation about a potential collaboration with AT&T.

Despite multiple requests for comment, both AT&T and Robinson’s representatives have remained silent on the matter. However, Robinson’s recent social media posts have added more fuel to the fire. In an Instagram update, he announced his decision to focus on his “true calling” and teased a major project in the works.

While some media outlets took Robinson’s announcement at face value, a follow-up video from the comedian hinted at a different story. He reached out to small business owners for advice, suggesting that his retirement from comedy may be part of a larger marketing strategy. With Robinson’s busy schedule of upcoming shows and projects, it’s clear that he isn’t ready to say goodbye to comedy just yet.

In the coming days, fans can expect more updates and announcements from Craig Robinson as he navigates this new chapter in his career. With a mix of comedy shows and exciting projects on the horizon, it seems like Robinson’s retirement may just be a clever marketing ploy after all. Stay tuned for more updates on this evolving story.
