Michael Rapaport
Concentration Camp Post Outrage
… Museum Says Fake, Disrespectful
Published
Michael Rapaport is facing backlash for sharing an image on social media depicting a prisoner in a concentration camp during the Holocaust. The Auschwitz Memorial and Museum condemned him, stating that the image was fake and disrespectful.
On Saturday, the actor/comedian posted the image on Facebook, showing someone playing a violin at Auschwitz.
However, the Auschwitz Memorial and Museum in Poland stated that the image was A.I.-generated.
The museum criticized Michael, saying, “Publishing fake, AI-generated images of Auschwitz is not only a dangerous distortion. Such fabrication disrespects victims and harasses their memory. If you see such posts, please don’t share them.”
Michael’s post also included a backstory about the image, which the museum deemed as false.
We have reached out to Michael for comment but have not received a response yet.
