In a recent discussion on War Room, Steve Bannon engaged with Senator Josh Hawley regarding a controversial attempt by lawmakers to embed an AI moratorium within the defense bill.
Bannon posed a pointed question: “They are attempting to reintroduce the moratorium into the NDAA. Could you clarify for our audience why this is a misguided plan, sir?”
Hawley responded decisively, “It’s a poor strategy for the same reasons it has always been—a decade-long pass for these colossal multinational corporations to operate unchecked.”
He added a stark warning: “They will seize everything that belongs to you—your name, your image, your likeness. It’s all on the table.”
“And the troubling part is that this is happening behind closed doors,” Hawley lamented. “If you’re not on the committee, like I’m not, you’re left in the dark about the proceedings.”
“This isn’t merely a moratorium, Steve; it’s essentially a handout to the largest players in the game—think Mark Zuckerberg and his peers. It’s catastrophic,” Hawley cautioned.
Furthermore, Hawley expressed his intention to prohibit Chinese companies from owning U.S. farmland and any private property, asserting that such foreign ownership jeopardizes American sovereignty.
Bannon inquired, “What motivates Missouri to take a stand against the Chinese Communist Party?”
“Many young farmers in our state are unable to purchase land. Why? Because Chinese corporations and various shell companies are swooping in and acquiring it all,” he warned. “We must enact a ban. No Chinese corporations should own farmland in America. Frankly, I don’t want them owning any real estate,” Hawley continued, emphasizing the urgency of the situation. “Family farms are being driven out of business, while these massive farms owned by Chinese interests are multiplying unchecked.
