The tragic incident of a stabbing on the Upper East Side that resulted in one man dead and another seriously injured was the result of a violent feud between the two individuals, according to law enforcement sources. The two men had met on the popular gay dating app, Grindr, and the situation quickly escalated into a violent confrontation.

The 27-year-old resident had invited the other man over to his apartment on East 95th Street near Second Avenue when the visitor suddenly made a disturbing statement, saying, “I hate all people.” This led to the visitor pulling out a knife and viciously attacking the resident, stabbing him multiple times throughout his body.

In a desperate attempt to defend himself, the resident grabbed a kitchen knife and retaliated, stabbing the aggressor in the chest and neck. When police arrived at the scene, they found the visitor unconscious and unresponsive. Tragically, he was pronounced dead on the scene.

The 27-year-old resident sustained multiple lacerations and was rushed to Weill Cornell Medical Center in serious but stable condition. The investigation is ongoing, and it is yet to be determined whether the resident will face charges or if his actions will be considered self-defense. Two knives were recovered at the scene by the authorities.

This disturbing incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers of meeting strangers online and the importance of being cautious in such situations. The use of dating apps can sometimes lead to unexpected and violent outcomes, highlighting the need for safety measures and vigilance when interacting with unknown individuals.
