Dana White revealed the news on the “Full Send” podcast, where discussions revolved around the promotion’s potential event at the White House, a concept endorsed by President Donald Trump for America’s upcoming 250th birthday celebration. White’s statement aligns with Jones’ recent remarks on X.

“The fact that literally everyone wants to fight on this card makes it a lot more fun,” Dana stated.

If White’s vision materializes, the headline fight could feature the long-awaited clash between Jones and Tom Aspinall, the newly crowned heavyweight champion following Jones’ retirement announcement on June 21.

At 37 years old, Jones took to X to express his eagerness for the event, recalling how he contacted the UFC headquarters immediately after Trump hinted at the possibility.

In a subsequent post, Jones, who initially felt uninspired by potential matchups, expressed newfound excitement for fighting again, especially at the esteemed venue of the U.S. president.

“I don’t care who I fight that night. I found my reason why, that’s what I needed, something that was more than money.”

Jon also clarified that he is not avoiding Aspinall but is waiting for the opportune moment to face him in the octagon.

“Choosing when to attack and where you want the battlefield to be is not ducking my friend.”
