Emily in Paris Season 5 to Film in Venice

After captivating audiences with its adventures in Paris and Rome, “Emily in Paris” is now gearing up for a new chapter in Venice.

According to Luca Zaia, the governor of the Veneto region, the popular Netflix show will be filming its fifth season in the picturesque city between August 5-15.

Zaia expressed his excitement about the news, highlighting how the Veneto region is becoming increasingly attractive for major global film and television productions. Director Andrew Fleming is currently scouting locations in Venice with the assistance of the Veneto Film Commission and local production company 360 Degrees Film.

“It’s a proud moment to see Venetian talent showcasing their region and bringing the beauty of Venice and the Veneto to viewers worldwide,” Zaia remarked.

Netflix has not provided any comments regarding the filming in Venice at this time.

“Emily in Paris” Season 5 began filming in Rome in May and later returned to Paris in June to continue the story.

The upcoming season follows Emily as she settles into her new life in Rome, running Agence Grateau’s Italian office and navigating her relationship with Marcello, the charming heir of a family-owned cashmere company.

Venice’s inclusion in the series follows the recent attention the city received as the location for the extravagant wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez, sparking debates about the impact of such events on the local community.

“Emily in Paris” has had a significant impact on popular culture, with French President Emmanuel Macron expressing his support for the series remaining in France. This led to a playful rivalry between Macron and Rome mayor Roberto Gualtieri, and now Veneto governor Zaia has joined the mix.
