Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, the production home for HBO’s highly anticipated “Harry Potter” television series, is making arrangements to provide a temporary school for the young actors involved in the show. This move is aimed at ensuring that the young performers can continue their studies while filming takes place, as reported by the BBC.

According to the BBC report, the Three Rivers District Council has granted permission for the studio to set up portable school buildings for the next decade. These classrooms are designed to accommodate up to 600 students during busy filming periods, although typically around 150 students will be using them. The school will operate on weekdays from 5:30 am to 8:30 pm to accommodate the young actors’ schedules, allowing them to balance their education with night shoots, reshoots, and filming at various locations.

Although the planning documents did not explicitly mention “Harry Potter,” they did refer to a “significant new TV series” that will be based at the studio for the next eight to 10 years. The BBC also noted that the school infrastructure will be in place for a maximum of 10 years.

When contacted for further comments, HBO did not provide any additional information, as reported by Variety.

The search for young talent to portray the iconic characters in the “Harry Potter” series involved a rigorous audition process, with 32,000 children trying out for the lead roles after an open casting call. The cast includes talented young actors such as Dominic McLaughlin (Harry Potter), Alastair Stout (Ron Weasley), Arabella Stanton (Hermione Granger), Lox Pratt (Draco Malfoy), Alessia Leoni (Parvati Patil), Leo Earley (Seamus Finnigan), Rory Wilmot (Neville Longbottom), and Amos Kitson (Dudley Dursley).

Fans of the wizarding world can expect the “Harry Potter” series to premiere on HBO and HBO Max in 2027.

This exciting development showcases the commitment of Warner Bros. and HBO to provide a conducive environment for the young actors to excel both in their education and on-screen performances. The temporary school at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden will undoubtedly play a crucial role in shaping the future of the “Harry Potter” television series.
