Gwyneth Paltrow Opens Up About Harvey Weinstein’s Advances

Gwyneth Paltrow recently shared a harrowing experience from her past, revealing how she was only 22 years old when she met Harvey Weinstein at his suite at the Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel for a work meeting. Weinstein had hired her to play the title role in an adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel Emma.

During the meeting, Weinstein allegedly made unwanted advances towards the young actress, putting his hands on her and suggesting they head towards the bedroom for massages. Paltrow, feeling petrified, described the experience as sexual harassment at the hands of her then-boss.

In a 2025 prison interview with Candace Owens, Weinstein denied Paltrow’s claims of physical contact, stating that he did not touch her. However, he did confess to making a pass at her.

Despite Weinstein’s warnings to keep quiet about the incident, Paltrow immediately confided in her then-boyfriend, Brad Pitt. Pitt, in turn, confronted Weinstein at a movie premiere and warned him never to touch his girlfriend again.
