The legendary heavy metal icon, Ozzy Osbourne, left behind a hefty tax bill of over $5 million to the IRS upon his passing at the age of 76. This shocking debt could potentially complicate his legacy and the estate of his family, including his wife Sharon Osbourne.

Records obtained by RadarOnline.com show that Ozzy and Sharon were hit with two separate tax liens by the feds. The first lien in 2023 amounted to $689,107.00, while the second lien in 2024 was a staggering $4,362,410.00. Despite his immense success as a member of Black Sabbath and a solo artist, Ozzy’s health issues forced him to retire from touring in 2023, which likely impacted his ability to generate income and pay off his tax obligations.

In a final show with Black Sabbath on July 5, just 17 days before his passing, Ozzy bravely took to the stage despite his declining health. Fans were thrilled to hear his iconic voice live for one last time, as he battled Parkinson’s disease and other health issues that left him unable to walk and perform without sitting on a throne.

The concert, titled “Back To The Beginning,” was organized by Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello and raised a substantial amount of money for charity, including the Cure Parkinson’s charity, Acorn Children’s Hospice, and the Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The event marked the first time Black Sabbath had performed together in 20 years, drawing 42,000 fans in person and 5.8 million viewers via an online livestream.

Despite his health struggles, Ozzy remained passionate about creating music and vowed to continue making music in the studio. His 13th studio album, “Patient Number 9,” was released in September 2022, but he did not release any new albums after retiring from touring.

Ozzy’s family confirmed his passing in a heartfelt statement, asking for privacy during this difficult time. Sharon Osbourne and their children, Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis, expressed their profound sadness at the loss of the beloved rock star. Ozzy’s legacy as the Prince of Darkness will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of his fans and the music industry.
