Dan Levy’s Not A Real Production Company Names Anne-Marie McGintee as Head of Film and Television
Dan Levy’s production company, Not A Real Production Company, has appointed Anne-Marie McGintee as the head of film and television. McGintee, previously the vice president of scripted programming at Ava DuVernay’s Array Filmworks, will now be responsible for overseeing all development and production at Not A Real Production Company. She will work towards expanding the company’s slate through its overall deal with Netflix.
Not A Real Production Company has several exciting projects in the pipeline, including a crime comedy series featuring Levy, Taylor Ortega, and Laurie Metcalf. They are also working on a documentary about the 1990s music festival Lilith Fair, set to debut at the Toronto International Film Festival. The company’s first series, “The Big Brunch,” premiered on Max, and they also supported Levy’s directorial debut, “Good Grief.”
Rachel Fanning, who joined the company in 2022, has been promoted to development executive. She will work closely with Levy and McGintee to manage all aspects of project development and production. McGintee’s previous experience includes overseeing projects like “DMZ,” “Naomi,” and “Queen Sugar” at Array, as well as working on series like “Orange Is the New Black” and “Maid” at Netflix.
In a statement, Levy expressed his excitement about McGintee joining the team, highlighting her experience in creative development and production. McGintee also shared her enthusiasm for working with Levy, calling him a “singular talent” and expressing her eagerness to build on the company’s legacy.
