Fox Nation Launches New Series “God. Family. Football.”
Fox Nation, the subscription-based streaming outlet under Fox News Media, is venturing into religious content with the release of new seasons of the series “God. Family. Football.” The show follows the work of Pastor Denny Duron, a high school coach in Shreveport, Louisiana, and was previously available on Amazon. Fox Nation is set to premiere eight new episodes of the series on Friday nights, starting October 11, with a second season expected in 2025.
Lauren Petterson, president of Fox Nation, stated that the series will kick off a new “Fox Faith” vertical dedicated to religious programming. The lineup includes a documentary by Martin Scorsese, “Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints,” debuting on Sunday, November 17. Additionally, a docudrama titled “Jesus Crown of Thorns,” produced in collaboration with Nutopia, will offer a fresh perspective on the life of Jesus throughout the holiday season.
While Fox Nation initially focused on news and politics, the platform has diversified its content in recent years to include lifestyle and documentary programming. Viewers can expect a variety of series and films, such as docu-series on national landmarks and parklands, as well as a collection of Clint Eastwood movies, catering to conservative audiences. Although Fox Nation has not disclosed its subscriber numbers publicly, the expansion into new genres demonstrates its commitment to offering diverse content.
“God. Family. Football” was created by Aaron Benward and produced by Watershed Motion Pictures, with executive producers including Benward, Jared Goetz, Matt Woolsey, Cody Bess, Scott Brignac, and Cliff Young.
