Warren Buffett, also known as the Oracle of Omaha, has announced that he will be stepping down as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway on January 1, 2026. However, he will continue to serve as chairman, a move that is characteristic of the legendary investor. With seven decades of trading experience under his belt, Buffett has revolutionized the world of value investing and left an indelible mark on the investment landscape.

It comes as no surprise that many investors look to Buffett for investment ideas. Whether it’s a novice investor seeking guidance or a retiree looking to diversify their portfolio, Buffett’s stock picks are often considered solid choices. After all, if it weren’t for Buffett’s keen eye for investments, Berkshire Hathaway might still be a textile company today, or worse, it might not even exist.

With a plethora of stocks in Buffett’s portfolio, it can be challenging to decide which ones to choose. Today, we’ll take a closer look at the top dividend-paying stocks in Berkshire Hathaway’s asset list and see which ones are favored by Wall Street analysts.

To compile this list, I turned to Barchart’s Investing Ideas page, where various themed and categorized lists are available to investors. I specifically focused on the Warren Buffett stocks list and utilized the Stock Screener with the following filters:

1. Current Analyst Ratings: 4.5 to 5 (Strong Buy)
2. Annual Dividend Yield (Forward)

After running the screen, I identified seven companies with the highest to lowest yields. Let’s dive into the top three:

1. Coca-Cola (KO)
Coca-Cola, a global beverage giant, tops the list with its extensive operations and distribution networks that have solidified its presence worldwide. The company pays a quarterly dividend of 51 cents per share, translating to $2.04 annually, or roughly a 3% forward yield. With a 5-year dividend growth rate of 21.25% and a consensus strong buy rating from 24 analysts, Coca-Cola is undoubtedly one of the best dividend stocks in the market and a top investment in Buffett’s portfolio.

2. Nucor Corporation (NUE)
Nucor Corporation is the largest steel producer and scrap recycler in North America, positioning it well to benefit from the increasing demand for steel in AI data center construction. As a Dividend King with 52 consecutive years of dividend payout increases, Nucor pays $0.55 quarterly, amounting to $2.20 per share annually, or approximately a 1.5% forward yield. With a strong buy consensus rating from 14 analysts, Nucor’s growth prospects are highly regarded by Wall Street.

3. Verisign (VRSN)
Verisign, a provider of internet infrastructure services, including domain registration for .com and .net websites, recently announced an updated dividend policy. The company pays a quarterly dividend of 77 cents, reflecting a $3.08 forward annual rate and around a 1% yield. With an 8.99% dividend payout ratio and a consensus strong buy rating from Wall Street analysts, Verisign has garnered attention as a promising dividend stock.

In conclusion, while it’s tempting to mimic Warren Buffett’s investment moves, it’s crucial to conduct thorough research and ensure that the stocks align with your investment objectives. Buffett and Berkshire Hathaway may have unparalleled experience and resources, but individual investors must make informed decisions that suit their financial goals.
