Disturbing details have emerged surrounding the alleged relationship between singer D4vd and a missing 13-year-old girl, Celeste Rivas, whose dismembered remains were found decomposing in his Tesla. Rivas, a middle school student from Lake Elsinore, California, was reported missing in May 2024, around the time sources claim she last spoke with her family. Her remains were discovered on September 8, the day after what would have been her 15th birthday, in the trunk of an impounded Tesla registered to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke.
D4vd, who was on tour at the time of the gruesome discovery, has canceled his tour dates as Rivas’ death is being investigated as a homicide. The Los Angeles Police Department has stated that D4vd is cooperating with investigators and has not been charged with any crime as of Friday, September 19.
The horrific discovery was made after the Tesla was left abandoned for several days near Doheny Place and Bluebird Avenue in the Hollywood Hills, close to the singer’s $20,000 per month rental home. While the investigation is ongoing, authorities have mentioned that Rivas appeared to have been deceased for an extended period based on decomposition.
Insiders have alleged that Rivas had run away from home a few times before being reported missing. One source mentioned that the victim had kept in touch with her school friends for over a year after she was last seen, but stopped responding to text messages around July or August.
Several sources have claimed that Rivas and D4vd were in a relationship before she disappeared, with some describing it as an “open secret” among classmates. While specific details about the alleged relationship remain unclear, it has been suggested that Rivas met the singer when she was around 12 or 13. Rivas’ brother, Matthew, stated that the family was aware of the relationship and mentioned that D4vd would pick his sister up from school in the same Tesla model where her remains were found.
Rivas’ mother, Mercedes, has also come forward to the media, stating that her daughter had a boyfriend named “David” with whom she shared a matching tattoo on their index fingers reading, “Shh…”.
Disturbing photos and videos of D4vd with a young girl who appeared to be the victim have surfaced on social media. These images have been handed over to law enforcement for further investigation. One photo captured the music star with teenagers in Lake Elsinore, close to his alleged girlfriend’s home. Another image, shared on a friend’s Instagram Story, showed D4vd with the victim taking a mirror selfie, captioned, “luh calm pic”. Additionally, a photo shared on Discord featured D4vd with a young girl resembling Rivas, with her face partially covered.
In addition to the visual evidence, internet sleuths have raised concerns about D4vd’s 2022 song “Romantic Homicide”. Critics have pointed out the eerie details associated with the song, including its release on September 7, Rivas’ birthday. The girl featured in the music video bears similarities to the victim, and the lyrics contain unsettling lines such as, “In the back of my mind, I killed you / And I didn’t even regret it / I can’t believe I said it / But it’s true / I hate you”.
The investigation into Celeste Rivas’ tragic death and her alleged relationship with D4vd continues, with authorities working to uncover the truth behind this disturbing case.
