Prime Video has recently unveiled the trailer for its upcoming game show titled “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” The show, hosted by Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, is set to premiere on the streaming platform on October 16th. The series will kick off with three episodes, followed by a new episode airing weekly.

In a unique twist on the classic game show format, “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” will feature an adult contestant who will be accompanied by a classroom full of celebrities from various fields such as comedy, film, and sports. The contestant will have to answer 11 questions based on elementary school curriculum subjects in order to win a grand prize of $100,000. Instead of competing against the celebrities, the contestant will be able to seek their help and even ‘cheat’ off of them if needed. For the final question, which is always at a 6th-grade level, the contestant will choose one celebrity to consult with before providing the answer.

The show is part of Prime Video’s Winning Wednesdays programming lineup, which includes other engaging shows like “Buy It Now,” “Wish List Games,” and “Pop Culture Jeopardy!”

Among the celebrity participants featured on the show are comedians Nikki Glaser, Natasha Leggero, Nicole Byer, and Ron Funches, as well as sports analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick, former NFL player Chad Ochocinco, reality TV star Garcelle Beauvais, actress Lala Kent, podcaster Sophia Stallone, and producer Lilly Singh.

The series is executive produced by Wes Kauble and Mark Burnett, with co-executive producers Sean Kelly, Steve Hughes, Susan Janis-Mashayehi, Tamara Akins, and Jessie Binkow. Kauble will also serve as the showrunner for “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?”
