In a notable move, Bill Cassidy (R-La.), chairman of the Senate health committee, has formally invited Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to testify before Congress. This invitation comes amid a series of oversight meetings aimed at shedding light on the recent turmoil within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

As of now, no date has been scheduled for this significant hearing.

Kennedy has been under scrutiny for allegedly prioritizing politics over scientific integrity in critical public health decisions. Cassidy contends that it is essential to probe deeper into the current disruptions at the CDC to uphold President Trump’s commitment, alongside Kennedy’s, towards “radical transparency” in health governance.
